Hello, Welcome to my blog! I am Shenthil Ranie.
Before I start, I would like to tell you that I LOVE my JOB!!! In my blog , I want to share my experiences and skills with you in helping you achieve great career success and work/life balance.
I feel it is important that everyone of us land in the right job and have passion for what we do.
I currently head a team in a media company screening movies and tv programming for airlines inflight entertainment systems.
I have 17 years of work experience having worked in the service industry, business development, sales and marketing portfolios.
I have been working since I was 18 and I know all about dedication and hard work. I was thrust into the working world at a young age when my father passed away.
Having to support the family, I joined the workforce and started as a temp clerk with Singapore Airlines. From there I took another step forward and joined as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines, where I worked for almost 10 years.
To set up family, I took a ground job and joined MediaCorp TV12. I worked there for 4 years before moving on to my current position as head of programming with a company that provides content to the airlines.
The Concept
I am always looking to be inspired. I realized that there were very few success stories about local women. Even if there were, it was about women who were in the mainstream. I realized, for example, a lady selling Nasi Lemak for 2 years is also successful.
A person working for an organization is also successful. There is lots to be learnt from these people. Whether the woman is an entrepreneur or holds a job with an organization, they all have their own success stories. Hence, the inspiration for my blog was born.
The motivation for my blog is for every woman to share and learn about being successful. If you were held back because there was no one to advise you, I want to change that.
If you are not sure of how to start something, I want this site to change that too. I want to provide as much information as possible to make you a success.
The Aim
I know these women, and their accomplishments, will inspire you. Each one’s story offers lessons–whether it’s how to spot a marketable idea, how to distinguish yourself from the competition, how to hire and train the right people, or how to put customers front and center.
Singapore women are a capable bunch, lets join forces and forge ahead.
